Was ist der SlutWalk?
SlutWalks sind Demonstrationen gegen Sexismus, sexualisierte Gewalt, Vergewaltigungsmythen und -verharmlosungen. Was in Toronto, Kanada Anfang des Jahres begann, entwickelt sich zu einer globalen Emanzipationsbewegung.
Menschen protestieren für ihr Recht auf Selbstbestimmung hinsichtlich Körper, Geschlecht und sexuellem Begehren.
Wir haben es satt in einem System zu leben, das sexualisierte Übergriffe, Gewalt und Belästigungen verharmlost, legitimiert und den Betroffenen die Schuld gibt.
Indem wir uns am 13. August 2011 als SlutWalk zusammenfinden, zeigen wir uns solidarisch mit allen Betroffenen und fordern Respekt und Gerechtigkeit!
“Slut”, bzw. “Schlampe” steht hierbei als Begriff stellvertretend für Mechanismen, die innerhalb unserer Gesellschaft existieren, um Sexualität Regeln unterwerfen zu wollen.
Wir stellen uns gegen andere Unterdrückungsmechanismen wie Rassismus, Homo- und Trans* und Queerphobie, weil diese ebenfalls Ursachen sexualisierter Gewalt darstellen.
Macht mit! Zeigt, was ihr zeigen möchtet, tragt was ihr tragen möchtet und seid laut!

What’s the SlutWalk all about?
SlutWalks are demonstrations against sexism, sexual assault, rape myths and belittlement of rape. What began in Toronto, Canada earlier this year is becoming a global emancipation movement.
Whether it be in personal relationships or the sex trade, people are taking to the streets in support of their rights for self-expression regarding their bodies, genders, sexuality, and desire.
We are sick of living in a system that downplays sexual assault, violence, and harassment. A society that not only legitimizes these violent acts but also blames their victims for provoking them.
Come together on August 13th 2011 and call for justice and respect for survivors and affected people worldwide!
The terms ‘slut, whore and hoe’ substitutionally represent mechanisms within our society in place to subject and regulate our sexuality.
We are not only rising up against sexism. Racism, trans*-, homo- and queerphobia are also part of the hegemonic structures and violent conditions responsible for sexualized violence and supporting rape culture.
Join us and take a stand. Express yourself the way you want it (i.e. clothes, performances, etc) and come and make some noise.
All genders and anyone who wants to stand with us in solidarity is welcome to come and show their support!
